Aging in a mixture of 35% new American oak barrels and neutral French oak barrels yields a full bodied wine with silky mouthfeel dark berry fruits with a smoky lingering finish. This is a wine that has weight to stand up to heavier meals and just as enjoyable without food. Aromatics of violet toasted oak dried cherries with a palate of blueberries blackberries cherry compote toasted vanilla and coffee balanced full tannins black tea and smoke finish. Enjoy now age 5-10 years and decant 30 minutes.
